My thoughts
BLAAAADE, the movie that saved Marvel from bankruptcy, and paved the way for all those other movies to come out.
(Yes, Blade is a superhero movie.) One of my other favourite movies,
Spider-Man, wouldn't have existed if it weren't for Blade. It also started the trend for dark fantasy action films, like Underworld.
This movie is fucking AWESOME. I knew it'd be one of my favourites within 5 minutes of watching it.
The blood rave is one of the best opening scenes in film history (according to me.)
Blade is the typical 90's 'badass'. The type of guy who was considered the height of cool back then.
I actually love characters who are that cheesy kind of cool. Wesley Snipes did a great job
at portraying him.
J'adore the soundtrack, the characters, the costumes, the cinematography... It's perfection. One of the best Marvel movies ever, and one
of my favourite vampire movies ever.
The CGI was atrocious, but this was the 90s, so it's expected. It adds to the charm though, so I can let that slide.
